2011 RBCT Relay Run-Running the Race

2011 RBCT Relay Run

Many supporters from iKhaya LikaBaba, from Solid Ground Church ran and walked the relay race this year. There was an amazing 'sense of Team' as all participated and got involved, rallying together for the sake of our little ones. Many people were there from early , when it was still dark, setting up for the day under the gazebo. It was a wonderful time of 'rubbing shoulders' with those in the Community and catching up with those whom we do not see everyday. The Teams were in high spirits as they cheered everyone on and ran alongside those who needed encouragement to finish the race. The absolute 'cherry on the top' of this amazing day was being presented witha sizable cheque by RBCT-who so generously reaches out to charities in our Community. We gratefully accepted this which will go towards enlargening our orphanage. We are VERY excited about the new season we are entering!

A huge THANK YOU to all of those who participated in this event and folk who popped in , during the course of the day, to offer their support .

Well done to Abigail Smith who organised all the walking and running teams this year and who put everything together. I know she has put in many hours , behind the scenes and we would like to thank her. We appreciate you Abby. We look forward to next year!!!!

~Birthday Celebrations~

Happy 2nd Birthday Little Man. We love having you in our family.x

iKhaya LikaBaba - The Father's House

This blog picks up from where Mel and Sean left off , after pioneering iKhaya right from day one .Almost 3 years ago, holding fast to a dream in their hearts , leading to one baby in their home, it has grown and grown and grown with much hard work, lots of challenges as they have faithfully built this home in love and incredible sacrifice and faithfulness-never losing sight of His call. iKhaya Likababa is a non- profit organisation, transition home for orphaned and abandoned babies in Empangeni, KwaZulu Natal,South Africa, Africa and beyond.
My dreams are to see these little children being nurtured and made whole again as develop into strong men and women of God, whilst being embraced in this family. I would love to see the Mothers and Fathers of these children being restored, supported, equipped and with hope in their lives again, walking with God.
This blog captures this journey of iKhayaLikababa and will keep everyone aware and involved in the lives of these little children.
