Promotions for our toddlers

Today was a VERY exciting day for the iKhaya family! 3 of our toddlers have been sleeping in cots but showing signs that they are ready to 'transition' into a bed! So! After Vincent renovated and built more bunkbeds we took the opportunity to promote them! (into the big girl and big boys' room!)

Our smallest boy was a little unsure so Danni, our volunteer, made a fun game with all of them and 'lured' him into his bed. Nap time was exciting today and NO TEARS , just shrieks of laughter and they dove into their 'big people' beds. Even the staff watched in wonder and with tears in their eyes. Our Nursery has some cots awaiting more babies for mid October when we open our doors to double our number of babies. Exciting times ahead!!!

iKhaya LikaBaba - The Father's House

This blog picks up from where Mel and Sean left off , after pioneering iKhaya right from day one .Almost 3 years ago, holding fast to a dream in their hearts , leading to one baby in their home, it has grown and grown and grown with much hard work, lots of challenges as they have faithfully built this home in love and incredible sacrifice and faithfulness-never losing sight of His call. iKhaya Likababa is a non- profit organisation, transition home for orphaned and abandoned babies in Empangeni, KwaZulu Natal,South Africa, Africa and beyond.
My dreams are to see these little children being nurtured and made whole again as develop into strong men and women of God, whilst being embraced in this family. I would love to see the Mothers and Fathers of these children being restored, supported, equipped and with hope in their lives again, walking with God.
This blog captures this journey of iKhayaLikababa and will keep everyone aware and involved in the lives of these little children.
